The Role
As Practice Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the firm’s financial operations while supporting leadership with valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead budgeting and financial forecasting processes
Oversee monthly accounts consolidation and year-end procedures
Analyse financial performance and provide insights to senior stakeholders
Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency
Manage payroll, VAT compliance, and statutory reporting
Support annual audits and maintain robust financial controls
Act as the main point of contact for all finance-related matters
About You
You will be an experienced finance professional who is organised, proactive, and confident working both independently and as part of a team. There is an element of coaching but this role doesn’t have direct line management responsibilities.
Essential:
CIMA qualified (or equivalent) and/or a minimum of 5 years’ finance experience
Experience using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero
Desirable:
Familiarity with accounts production software (e.g. CCH)
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Skills & Attributes:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
A proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail
Ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally
