The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust strives to innovate and improve care to patients. The Trust has recently approved the business case for a new pharmacy aseptic, clinical trials and radiopharmacy facility. The new facility is expected to be in operation at the end of 2026.
The prime function of the unit is the preparation of cytotoxic, monoclonal antibodies and clinical trials in a safe and efficient manner according to Good Manufacturing Practice and National Standards.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
80% Training, Education, Competency Assessment and QAAPS Governance
20% Aseptic Production and Operational Support
A core component of the role is to act as an Aseptic Services Trainer, responsible for delivering structured training, assessing competency, and ensuring all staff meet the standards required by:

Job responsibilities
Under the strategic guidance of the Senior Quality Assurance and Training Officer, co-ordinate the design and delivery of departmental training for Aseptic Services.
To manage the design and delivery of departmental training packs, including their associated activities and quality assessment.
To provide initial training for all new members of staff, before they are formally handed over to a designated trainer from Production or QA, depending on their job role and training pathway.
Deputise for the Senior Quality Assurance and Training Officer and support the trainees as required.
Support the pharmacy education team in ensuring RWT becomes an exemplar site for pharmacy workforce development.
Daily operational accountability rests with the Senior Quality Assurance and Training Officer.

* Registered to GPHC or Science Council
* Evidence of CPD
Experience
* Proven experience working in Aseptic Unit
* Experience of training
* Experience in a license unit
