The ideal candidate will have
Equipment & Facilities Engineer |On site | 5 days a week
£35,000 to £45,000 + 15% shift allowance
Shift work: Early 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm
This roll also has an on-call element
You’ll be joining a hands-on engineering team in a busy production environment. This is a practical, get stuck in role where you’ll be visible on site and working closely with a close-knit group of engineers.
What you’ll be doing
1. Maintaining and fault finding on production equipment and site facilities
2. Working across electrical and mechanical systems
3. Supporting planned and reactive maintenance
4. Taking part in an on-call rota
5. Working closely with engineering and operations on site
Knowledge, experience and Qualifications
6. Minimum BTEC Level 3 in an Engineering discipline. (Electrical/Mechanical)
7. Positive outlook with a strong internal drive to understand and improve machines, systems and processes
8. Demonstrable knowledge and experience deploying problem solving methodologies with a track record of results
9. Proactive attitude with willingness to collaborate cross-functionally
10. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
12. Appreciation and experience working to preventative maintenance schedules
13. Maintenance and optimisation of automation systems
14. Experience and knowledge in the upkeep and repair of Pneumatic, Mechanical & Electrical systems
15. Working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and associated metrics
16. Experience in working to and generating documentation including change management
17. Computer literate (MS Outlook, Excel, Teams etc.)
Must have worked with
18. Pick and place robotics, CNC tools, vacuum systems, laser systems, plating lines, semiconductor systems
19. Chemical and gas systems, LEV, nitrogen, compressed air, DI water, vacuum, and HVAC systems
Nice to have
20. Working knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control).
21. Experience with programming and vision system optimisation.
22. Exposure to optical, laser, or wire bonding systems.
23. Familiarity with HVAC and site services maintenance.
24. Experience supporting robotic systems and automated tool optimisation.
On call
25. 1 week in every 7 weeks
26. Monday 12:01am to Sunday 12:01am
27. Reducing to weekends only once night shift cover is in place
28. Overtime available if you want it
