Salary: £25,949 (Including Real Living Wage Supplement). If part‑time and/or term‑time, the full‑time salary quoted (based on 37hrs) will be pro‑rated accordingly.
Hourly Rate: £13.45 (Including Real Living Wage Supplement)
Contract Hours: 3 hours 45 minutes
Working arrangement: The position is term‑time, ideal to fit around family commitments and the school day. We offer an 'annualised' pay scheme so that staff who work term‑time receive pay over 52 weeks.
Responsibilities
The breakfast assistant will be responsible for keeping the food preparation area clean before preparing and serving a nutritious breakfast. Other duties include general kitchen and dining room tasks such as setting up and clearing away tables, and general cleaning duties.
The Candidate
* The ability to build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
* Knowledge of basic Food Safety and Health and Safety. This would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
* Good communication and people skills.
* The ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
* A positive attitude and the willingness to learn new skills.
DBS level
An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk.
Welsh language level - verbal
Level 2 – basic conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
