Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a global manufacturing and distribution business based in Alfreton as they look to bring in a new Senior Management Accountant into the team. The purpose of the role is to deliver timely group management accounts along with any related analysis in order to support business decision making. The position also owns the stock reporting including the review of the valuation and aging of the stock to ensure accurate records are kept at all times. * Hours are 8.30-5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 2pm finish on a Friday (Can flex the hours for earlier start and finish time in the week)
The role will be varied with duties to include: - • Manage the development and production of the individual subsidiary management accountstogether with the Group management accounts• Owning valuation and aging of stock and making recommendations to the SLT and Board• Delivering a range of commercial finance projects across the Group to support key strategic objectives• Working alongside the Head of FP&A with the production of the Group budgets and forecasts• Conduct the monthly gross margin review and reconciliation with the assistance of the management accounts team• Processing ledger transactions and reconciliations• Conduct the monthly group stock valuations and provisions• Calculate and process group GM provisions• Monthly review of the groups’ product costing records and tracing errors back to their source• Working with the Group Financial Controller to ensure a smooth internal and external audit• Maintenance and uploading of all stock costing information on to Navision for all Group Companies• Monitoring and control of sample stocks across the Group• Ensuring accounting information is clear and concise through accurate posting of journalsThe ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences: -
• Fully qualified (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)• Previous experience in a similar role• Stock reporting experience including stock valuations and provisions• Good advanced working knowledge of MS Excel• Experience of using an ERP accounts software package• Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines• Effective communication skills at all levels• Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative• Pro-active with a diligent approach to your workIf you would like to considered for this exciting and varied opportunity, please send in your CV today!
