Smile Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in central Wolverhampton. This school provides a tailored education for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, and physical disabilities. All students have an EHCP in place. The Role: Provide 1:1 support to students with a variety of complex needs. Promote a positive, nurturing, and safe learning environment. Use your experience and knowledge to help children reach their full potential. Assist with personal care and lead engaging activities tailored to individual needs. Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly. Work collaboratively with the school team to support each pupil’s learning and wellbeing.Requirements: A relevant qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or Supporting Teaching and Learning (essential). Other qualifications will not be considered for this role. UK-based experience supporting children or young adults with SEND. Ability to provide a minimum of two professional references covering the past two years. Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Smile Education.
