In this role, youll bring together different sources of evidence and translate them into simple, actionable recommendations that improve services, shape strategy, and help us understand whats working and what needs to change. Youll work closely with senior leaders across the organisation, presenting insights in a clear way that supports effective planning and decision-making. Youll also help build insight capability across the business -coaching colleagues, improving how we report performance, and ensuring our insight tools and metrics reflect what matters to customers and the organisation. Specifically, in the role you will: Insight Lead the development and maintenance of Hedyn Insight, ensuring it provides a holistic, integrated view of performance, risk, assurance, and strategic context to inform decision-making at all levels. Manage the insight design and development, utilising departments and internal panels to understand their insight needs and co-design mechanisms that support meaningful interpretation and action. Synthesise complex and sometimes conflicting evidence sources into a single, coherent narrative that explains not only what is happening, but why, what it means, and what options Hedyn has to respond. Interpret the narrative behind performance and operational trends by combining quantitative indicators with qualitative insight, contextual intelligence and strategic priorities Present integrated insight to senior leaders in a way that clarifies options, trade-offs, risks and opportunities, enabling informed and timely -offs, risks and opportunities, enabling informed and timely decision-making Combine trend analysis, environmental scanning and qualitative insight to anticipate emerging risks, opportunities and future service needs, supporting strategic foresight Manage the check phase of service reviews by helping teams understand service purpose, process effectiveness, and performance, and by identifying improvement opportunities through insight & reporting Contribute to the plan and do phases of service design by ensuring insight informs design decisions, delivery planning and measuring success. Lead the approach to defining clear insight and data design for Hedyn, ensuring requests are purposeful and aligned with strategic priorities. Lead the delivery of insight and data specifications including the metric definitions, collaborating with the data team effectively. Design and maintain performance and assurance metrics that reflect service purpose and outcomes, including both quantitative and qualitative insight. Develop & build capability across the organisation by advising and coaching colleagues at all levels on how to interpret and use insight effectively. Champion the use of non-metric insight, such as narrative analysis and operating environment scanning, to complement quantitative data and develop insight into strategic foresight. Corporate Reporting Develop and enhance the production of integrated performance & assurance reports that enable understanding and effective scrutiny of the delivery of the strategic corporate plan and supporting strategies and other objectives of the organisation, reporting to leadership team and board. Lead the production of internal governance structure reporting, that enables the development and delivery of effective mechanisms to support internal panels, departments and teams. Lead and guide the association through the development of key performance indicators, supporting performance & assurance metrics and management information that support effective strategic, corporate and operational decision-making throughout the Group. Business Partner the Executive Team, Director Team, and Heads of Service to develop and provide reporting for Welsh Government Returns, Regulatory Returns and other external reporting requirements. Shared Team Accountabilities Co-ordinate and deliver Hedyns continuous improvement activities, by understanding business needs, engaging with department and corporate leadership to identify required improvements, oversee their implementation and ensure the application of the Hedyn improvement principles. Devise evidence informed recommendations through your research that influence key decision making by director and department teams for delivery. Support the delivery of solutions required to implement evidence informed recommendations or changes to process, systems or strategies through the research and insight available that influence key decision making by colleagues. Deliver research projects to support the creation of Hedyn, utilising best practice to influence bold, sector-leading service improvement. Business partner heads of service and managers to develop service offers, service effectiveness or assurance maps, for the delivery of resident focused services. Support the development of policy positions, informed by research, and communicate these in order to influence the external policy environment and legislative change.
