A modern and growing independent accountancy practice in Wetherby is seeking a Trainee / Junior Cloud Accountant to join its friendly and forward-thinking team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the early stages of their accountancy career who is looking to gain hands-on practice experience while continuing their studies within a supportive environment.
The Role
Duties will include:
•Assisting with preparation of statutory accounts
•VAT returns and bookkeeping
•Supporting management accounts production
•Payroll preparation
•Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance
•Using cloud accounting software including Xero
•Supporting client onboarding and responding to client queries
•Working closely with senior team members across a varied client portfolio
The Ideal Candidate
•Previous accountancy practice experience preferred
•Basic understanding of accounts, VAT, and payroll
•Experience with Xero or other cloud accounting software advantageous
•Organised, proactive, and keen to learn
•Strong communication skills
•Ideally studying AAT Level 4 with interest in progressing to ACCA/ACA
