The Role
Our Estates team are looking for a Regional Estates Performance Manager to cover our North & Scotland region. The Central Estates team work with the cluster operations teams to maintain 60 safe and compliant buildings across the region. We are responsible for all statutory and planned maintenance activity, capital planning and mechanical and electrical works to ensure our students can rely on our buildings to keep them safe, warm and dry. We have a team of planners and engineers who resolve any difficult building systems issues and work with Facilities and General Managers to keep our sites in the best possible condition. The Regional Estates Performance manager is the key link between the Central Estates team, 3 rd party suppliers and cluster operations, ensuring the highest levels of service, strategic forward planning and providing the right support at the right time to those who need it.
The successful candidate will manage the day to day performance of compliance and planned estate activity across the regional estate. You will be responsible for the scheduling of all planned, reactive and project work across the estate giving total visibility to operational colleagues.
You will produce one approved, prioritised and integrated plan, at a regional level, that will improve efficiencies by identifying critical path activities, resolving conflicts, capturing opportunities to maximise resources and eliminating unnecessary work, and will work closely with the Regional Engineering Manager to coordinate and manage relationships and performance for 3rd party planned maintenance and to partner with all estates colleagues to schedule planned maintenance activities.

* Proven management experience
* Experience working in an Estates or facilities management function
* Independent thinker with an ability to propose and deliver solutions
* Previous experience in coordinating / planning/ project management
* The ability to influence and engage with geographically diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
* Confidence to challenge the status quo
* Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
* Ability to meet or exceed deadlines and targets
* Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
