The Role Norton Motorcycles is seeking an End-of-Line Inspector to ensure every motorcycle meets our high standards of quality, safety, and craftsmanship before shipment or customer handover. This role is critical to protecting the reputation of a legendary British brand. Key Responsibilities Carry out final end-of-line inspections on completed motorcycles to ensure they meet Norton Motorcycles’ quality, safety, and craftsmanship standards Perform detailed visual, functional, and dimensional inspections against engineering drawings, build specifications, control plans, and work instructions Inspect cosmetic quality and finish, including paint, bodywork, fasteners, routing of hoses and cables, and overall presentation expected of a premium brand Verify correct installation and operation of key systems, including electrical, lighting, instrumentation, brakes, suspension, steering, drivetrain, and fluids Conduct functional checks such as start-up, idle, throttle response, warning lights, and basic system operation in line with EOL test procedures Identify, record, and clearly communicate defects, deviations, or build issues using Norton quality systems and inspection records Ensure motorcycles do not progress to shipment or customer handover until all quality concerns are resolved and signed off Support rework and verification activities, confirming corrective actions meet specification before final release Carry out process/part audits to ensure compliance to spec and process requirements Escalate safety-critical, legal, or customer-impacting issues immediately in line with Norton escalation procedures Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and homologation requirements Maintain inspection tools, gauges, and test equipment, ensuring correct use and calibration status Follow all Norton Motorcycles SOPs, quality management system requirements, and health & safety standards Contribute to continuous improvement and right-first-time build quality, supporting the reputation of the Norton brand Skills & Experience Previous experience in end-of-line inspection, quality control, or assembly verification in automotive or motorcycle manufacturing Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems inspection Familiarity with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality standards is advantageous Experience in low-volume, high-quality manufacturing preferred (luxury or performance vehicles) Track record of ensuring right-first-time quality and supporting continuous improvement initiativ es Personal Attributes Analytical, methodical, and quality-focused Clear communicator with the confidence to make quality decisions Committed to right-first-time build quality and continuous improvement Rewards of working for Norton: We like to take care of our Nortoneers and we think we offer some pretty decent rewards.
