Residential Conveyancing Legal AssistantFantastic law firm in Fareham, our client is well known in the area for providing quality legal advice to both commercial and private clients throughout Hampshire.The Legal Support department is seeking a Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant to support the Conveyancing team in its office in Fareham. You will have a Residential Conveyancing or Commercial Property background and have experience of all work associated with the exchange, completion and post-completion of properties, including registration.Daily duties will include:
Preparing contract packages for saleDealing with all aspects of pre- and post-completion conveyancingPriority searches and bankruptcy searchesPreparing SDLT Returns and submitting the same to HMRCRequesting online searches, completing various search forms on the computerised systemProcessing Land Registry applicationsUpdating clients/Agents on transaction progressAssisting Fee Earners in preparation of legal documentationAdvising clients, Estate Agents and other third parties of progress and giving back up advice where necessaryAssist in communications with clients through relaying both incoming and outgoing telephone messages and providing any other possible and appropriate assistanceDealing with solicitors and clients on the day of completion, preparing the completion letters and updating clients/Agents of the same
