We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Upton who are looking for a full-time Learning Support Assistant to support across EYFS and KS1 from after half-term.
This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys working with younger children and thrives in a nurturing, busy classroom environment.
The Role:
1. Supporting pupils across EYFS and KS1
2. Working 1:1 and in small groups
3. Assisting with phonics, early reading and core subjects
4. Helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment
5. Supporting children with additional needs where required
We’re looking for someone who:
6. Has recent experience in EYFS and/or KS1
7. Is confident supporting phonics and early literacy
8. Builds strong relationships with pupils and staff
9. Is proactive, adaptable and reliable
10. Brings warmth, patience and positive energy into the classroom

Job Specification
Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.
We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;
11. NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
12. NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
13. Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
25. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
26. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
27. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
28. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
29. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
