Exciting Leadership Opportunity – Interim Phase Leader / OPAL leader (TLR3)
Two Positions Available: EYFS/KS1 & KS2

We are delighted to invite applications from ambitious, dedicated and forward‑thinking colleagues to join our Interim Leadership Team. This temporary TLR3 role offers a unique opportunity to step into senior leadership, contribute to whole‑school improvement, and shape the future direction of our school during an important period of development.
Successful candidates will work closely with the Interim Headteacher and current curriculum TLR holders as Phase Leaders (infants and junior). You will become a key part of the school's strategic leadership structure and will be an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team on an interim basis.
This role is ideal for colleagues ready to take their first steps in their leadership journey. You will be supported to develop a deeper understanding of school-level strategy, quality of education, safeguarding, behaviour leadership and community engagement.
Key Elements Of The Role Include
* Joining an interim Senior Leadership Team with the Interim Headteacher, Assistant Headteacher, and TLR Curriculum Leaders to contribute to strategic school development needs
* Developing and further implementing the OPAL Play Project, now in its early stages of implementation.
* Acting as a visible, proactive senior leader supporting within the behaviour management structure and parental engagement.
* Evaluating the quality of education within your phase in partnership with curriculum TLR holders, AHT and interim HT.
* Becoming trained as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to support the wider safeguarding team.
* Managing administrative responsibilities such as rotas, timetabling, deployment and oversight of student/volunteer placements.
* Modelling and promoting the values, ethos and Christian vision of both the school and Birmingham Diocesan Multi‑Academy Trust.
This is an excellent stepping stone into senior leadership and a chance to have a meaningful impact on the whole school community. The role is most suited to full‑time colleagues due to its outward-facing and operational commitments.
