This role plays a key part in supporting both staff and learners to access, use and get the most from our online learning platforms and information systems. You will provide first-line support, contribute to the smooth running and development of our systems, and support the creation of data reports and dashboards that inform decision-making across the organisation. This is a varied role, ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, a customer-focused mindset and an interest in systems, data and digital learning. Key Responsibilities Provide first-line support to staff and learners by responding to support tickets and queries, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation where required Assist with the day-to-day administration, configuration and maintenance of information systems, user accounts and learning platforms Support the development, production and maintenance of data reports, dashboards and periodic data projects to meet organisational needs Create and maintain clear, user-friendly guidance and documentation to support system users Work closely with the Curriculum and Quality team to build and maintain course pages and resources within the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), ensuring a positive online learning experience Essential Criteria Strong technical competence and high levels of digital literacy Proficiency in spreadsheets (Google Sheets and/or Excel) Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Methodical, well-organised approach to work Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot independently and creatively Clear and confident communicator with strong customer service skills Willingness and ability to learn new systems, technologies and skills Reliable and trustworthy in handling sensitive and confidential data Desirable Skills and Experience Experience working with information systems or MIS platforms Knowledge of SQL and database structures Data analysis and reporting experience Familiarity with coding languages (e.g. HTML, Python, JavaScript, PHP) Experience working in the education sector, ideally Further Education Experience using Moodle or other Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) Understanding of GDPR and data protection best practice Familiarity with Google Workspace tools and applications What do we offer?
