Tasks
Your responsibilities and duties may include the following:
1. Undertake and complete a detailed inspection of all components using latest criteria and Inspection equipment
2. Creation and modification of component overhaul / Repair routes within SAP as required
3. Ensuring that all information (I.E. P/N, S/N and Condition) is recorded in the shop Repair Order and on LTLGS SAP system
4. Carry out accurate measurement of components where required due to workload
5. Work to Production priority lists – ASPEN, Milestone dates as provided by Production Control
6. Interface with Technical engineering, and other production departments where necessary
7. Other duties as directed by the Section Manager, Team Leader or Leading Hand
8. Train and mentor other team personnel within the role subject to your qualifications and experience
Requirements
The ideal Inspector must fulfill the following requirements:
9. Aerospace apprenticeship would be desirable
10. Maths and English GCSE A-C Grades equivalent
11. ‘A’ Level or equivalent qualification in an engineering subject would be desirable
12. Extensive experience within an Aerospace Engineering or equivalent environment
13. Previous mechanical component inspection background
14. PC literate
15. Previous experience working within an SAP computer system would advantageous
16. Good knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment
17. Previous practical experience using imperial measureent tools
18. Previous knowledge of manuals and Boeing websites
19. Shift work. Monday – Friday or Tuesday - Saturday
20. Further trainings required
