THE COMPANY
A large, well established home textiles business in Manchester. They have an excellent reputation and are innovators in their category. You will be the technical link between Buying, Design and overseas manufacturing, working closely on NPD with some of their key customer accounts. The business works on a hybrid basis with an early finish on Fridays. This is a fixed term contract role for 12 months.
THE ROLE
* Working on key customer accounts, understanding their unique requirements
* Developing and maintaining technical documentation, specifications, compliance certifications, and audit records
* Acting as technical link between Buying, Design and overseas manufacturing partners sharing your technical knowledge
* Liaising with factories to maintain production quality standards. Resolving production challenges through corrective action plans.
* Managing production sample approval process and ensure on-time shipments
* Supporting customers with QC and technical issues, ensuring swift resolutions
* Initiating post-launch quality investigations when necessary to ensure ongoing product quality once in store
* Ensuring factory compliance with Ethical Audits and manage corrective actions for non-conformances
* Maintaining regulatory compliance across partner manufacturing sites
* Supporting junior technologists with their professional development
* Supporting the Head of Quality with maintaining and improving the group QMS
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience working in Textiles, working as an experienced Technologist or Manager. You’re someone who can build rapport quickly with customers, factory partners, and internal colleagues. Commercially aware and comfortable acting as the technical point of contact for customers. You understand the balance of the realities of commercial production vs the standards required by major brands and retailers.
