Test Engineer, Leicestershire

* Working at the forefront of crash testing and safety product evaluation across civil and automotive sectors
* Contract is offered on a PAYE basis, up to £22.00 per hour commensurate with experience for an initial 12 months.
* 39 hours a week (Typically Mon-Thurs 0800hrs - 1630hrs Friday 0800hrs - 1530hrs with 30mins lunch) Hours/work pattern can be discussed so flex on this.
This Test Engineer job will suit:
* A degree-qualified Engineer (Mechanical, Automotive, Civil or related).
* A self-motivated individual with a “right first time” attitude, excellent attention to detail and the ability to lead technicians and manage contractors.
* Strong communication and customer service skills – this role involves regular customer liaison.
* Experience with test scheduling, technical standards, data validation, and reporting
* Familiarity with safety standards, UKAS 17025, and CE marking processes (preferred but not essential).
* Full right to work in the UK due to possible Security Clearance requirements.
* Those with a Full UK Driving License

* Planning, executing, and managing vehicle crash tests and civil installation tests.
* Overseeing technicians and coordinating external contractors during test setups
* Liaising with customers throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to data delivery
* Reviewing and validating test results, compiling reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
* Working predominately outdoors, onsite regardless of the weather.
* Supporting audits, procedural updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This Test Engineer role is commutable from Leicester, Lutterworth, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Coventry, Rugby, and surrounding areas.
