Your new role
In your role as Accounts Assistant, you will maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring invoices match purchase orders and delivery notes, and process them into the system.
You will reconcile supplier balances to statements, prepare supplier payments for authorisation, process bank transactions, and reconcile bank accounts.
You will also maintain the sales ledger and have exposure to the credit control function by processing sales invoices and chasing outstanding debts.
You will also be asked to contribute to continuous improvement projects, clearing a backlog of invoices following a system update and implementation.
What you'll need to succeed
Extensive experience in an Accounts Assistant role
Proficient use of Microsoft systems, Excel and Word
Exposure to CIS/construction market beneficial
Self-motivation and organisational skills, coupled with the ability to work well in a team
A proactive mindset is key to this role.
