As part of their ongoing transformation and strategic growth, they are seeking a Head of Data to lead the firm's data function and drive a robust data strategy across the business. Role Overview: The Head of Data will collaborate with Partners and staff across the firm to develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that manages risk, enhances operational efficiency, and supports long-term business growth. You will be responsible for improving data quality, standardising processes, and fostering a data-first culture throughout the firm. This is a high-impact, senior leadership role suited to a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data governance and the operational workings of a global law firm or professional services organisation. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver a firmwide data strategy that supports risk management and business growth Establish and lead a Data Governance Group, embedding robust governance and standards Identify and drive improvements to data quality, integrations, classifications, and reporting Collaborate with Information Governance, Change, and Learning teams to embed a data-driven culture Lead tactical and strategic initiatives across master data, data hierarchies, glossaries, and cleansing Deliver efficiencies through automation and process improvement Educate and engage Partners and staff in the value and use of data Recruit and manage a high-performing data team, as required Key Requirements: Minimum 3 years in a senior data role within legal or professional services Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite and Partners Strong understanding of data governance, integration, and system interoperability Able to effectively communicate complex data issues to both technical and non-technical audiences Results-driven, commercially aware, and pragmatic in your approach Excellent stakeholder management and change leadership skills Curious, resilient, and confident in constructively challenging the status quo What’s on Offer: Salary circa £140,000 attractive package Flexible hybrid working model Opportunity to shape and lead a firmwide data transformation Work in a supportive and forward-thinking environment at one of the world’s top law firms
