About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join a busy, fast-paced transport and distribution operation in Birmingham. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in pallet networks or high-volume, multi-drop logistics who thrive in a time-critical environment.
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth execution of daily deliveries, maintaining excellent service levels, and managing schedules to meet strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily transport operations, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of goods
Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse teams, and third-party carriers
Manage bookings, delivery manifests, and transport documentation
Monitor delivery progress and proactively resolve any logistical issues or delays
Maintain regular communication with customers regarding delivery schedules and queries
Ensure full compliance with transport regulations and internal company policies
Accurately maintain internal systems, records, and reporting
Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries and service updates
Requirements Proven experience within a pallet network or high-volume, multi-drop logistics environment
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident communicator with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
Proactive problem-solver with a positive, team-focused approach
