We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible caring individual to join our team as a deputy manager. Aveley House supports up to 7 adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours. In the role of Deputy Manager you'll be expected to support the Registered Manager in overseeing this service and also a single service provision in Grays. You will be expected to work 5 days out of a 7-day working week and may be required to work different shift patterns which include weekends. The role is varied and everyday is different, the service users have specifically asked that we recruit someone who is:

The role will expect you to:
To support the Home with daily management and running of the home, ensuring your team deliver the highest level of care to our residents/service users.
To deputise on behalf of the Registered Manager during their absence.
To set and maintain a high working standard with your Home Manager for your team to follow and develop within. Whilst also undertaking any necessary training and development from time-to-time to maintain the standard expected in line with Meadowview Care and CQC.
To ensure the Home is run in line with statutory, Meadowview Care policies and procedures.
To ensure processes are in place and adhered to by your team in line with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
To maintain and develop good quality working relationships built and between staff and the residents/services users they're caring for through peronalised support.
The efficient and effective day-to-day management of the human resources involved in providing care through the staff team and ensuring that the required standards are maintained.
Undertake administrative tasks as required.
To ensure your team at Aveley receive formal supervision and appraisals.
Oversee the duty rota monthly in advance ensuring the correct skills and numbers on duty.
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.
Attend statutory training and any other training.
Full UK drivers license (desireable).
Qualifications:
* Experience of Social Services and Local Authorities.
* Health & social care degree and or management qualification within the health care sector or an equivalent.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of CQC and current legislations.
* 2 years minimum experience in similar role.
The successful applicant will need to pass an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory referencing prior to commencing employment.
