Technical Services Manager – Responsible for managing technical services elements of laboratory fit‑out projects at Fourfront Group.
Responsibilities
 * Project Management – Oversee project timelines, budgets, and contractor coordination.
 * Technical Oversight & Compliance – Design, specification, and validation of HVAC, MEP, and laboratory equipment ensuring regulatory compliance.
 * Stakeholder Collaboration – Act as main technical point of contact with clients, vendors, and design teams.
 * Installation & Commissioning – Supervise installation of utility systems, troubleshoot, and integrate MEP, IT, and laboratory equipment.
 * Health & Safety & Environmental Controls – Ensure safe installation and maintain cleanroom & hazardous material standards.
 * Maintenance & Training – Develop post‑fit‑out support plans, conduct training, and provide documentation.
 * Quality Control – Inspect and audit materials, systems, and documentation against project specs.
 * Sustainability & Efficiency – Implement energy‑efficient solutions and work towards LEED certification.
 * Problem‑solving & Innovation – Design custom solutions for unique lab challenges and continuously improve.
 * Reporting & Documentation – Deliver regular project updates, maintain as‑built drawings, and produce performance reports.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Good working knowledge of Revit or AutoCAD.
 * Extensive expertise in MEP design and construction of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services.
 * Background with M&E contractor or consultant on commercial projects £500K‑10M+.
 * Experience managing laboratory fit‑outs and regulated environments.
 * Strong project management skills – scheduling, budgeting, risk management.
 * Knowledge of OSHA, ASHRAE, health and safety regulations relevant to laboratories.

Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary £75,000–£90,000 with commission structure. Annual leave 25 days (30 days with long service), 3 charity days, private health care with Vitality, group income protection, group life assurance, employee assistance programme, enhanced maternity & paternity.
