As a Master Technician reporting to the Aftersales Manager, your main responsibilities will include ongoing vehicle service, repair, diagnosis, and inspection checks. If you hold an MOT license, you may be required to carry out MOT tests.
Working closely with the Workshop Controller, you will manage your allocated jobs and provide feedback to the Service Advisor team regarding additional work or customer escalations.
As part of our customer service, we offer a ‘see it now’ service where we record on camera any work needed on vehicles and perform vehicle health checks.
1. Provide advice, support, and guidance to the Technician team.
2. Diagnose complex vehicle issues and recommend repairs.
3. Communicate additional work details to customers and/or Service Advisors.
4. Provide regular updates on work progress.
5. Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
6. Ensure all work is performed following safe working practices.
7. Check the quality of work using diagnostic equipment and road test vehicles post-repair.
8. Complete relevant documentation such as job sheets, PDI's, and service reports in line with HSO, warranty, and dealership standards.
9. Accurately fill out job cards and DISS reports, including fault descriptions and repairs.
10. Collaborate with Warranty support for accurate job write-ups and warranty claims.
1. Hold a Level 3 qualification in vehicle service and repair.
2. Have previous experience as a Senior or Diagnostic Technician in a franchised dealership.
3. Be capable of coaching and collaborating with the team.
4. Be a team player.
5. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Maintain a ‘can do’ attitude.
7. Hold a valid driving license.
