We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Pimlico. This is a full-time, term-time only role, supporting a child in Reception with autism on a one-to-one basis, starting as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.
The Role
Provide one-to-one support for a child with autism within the Reception classroom.
Assist with learning activities, communication, and social interaction.
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in school life.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to implement individual support plans.
Create a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
About You
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (particularly autism) is desirable.
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in your approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Passion for supporting early years education and child development.
