Graduate Paramedic – Tywyn Ambulance Station (Internal Applicants Only)
Location: Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Area
Contract: Permanent
We are seeking internal Graduate Paramedics to join our team at Tywyn Ambulance Station. You will be supported in your transition to an autonomous clinical practitioner and progression into the role of Qualified Paramedic (Band 6).
As part of this role:
You will receive training to respond on blue lights (if required).
You will have completed your Degree in Paramedic Science and be registered with the HCPC.
We are looking for individuals with:

Essential Requirements:
Full C1 driving licence at the point of application.
Maximum of 3 penalty points and no previous convictions for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Please note -
Successful completion of an internal driving assessment and clinical OSCE will be required prior to commencing in post (unless currently on a Fixed Term NQP Contract).
Main duties of the job

You will also have direct access to the Paramedic Pathfinder tool to assist you in your clinical decision making, and receive support from our growing number of Advanced Paramedic Practitioners. Our Emergency Ambulances are also amongst the best equipped in the UK, giving you scope to practice across a full case-mix of patients and developing your clinical skills.

* IHCD Qualified or Certified Ambulance Paramedic
Skills

* Good verbal and written communication skills, able to convey information well and complete all necessary documentation accurately and legibly
* Able to work well under pressure, assimilate information quickly and make decisions on diagnosis and treatment
Experience
Essential criteria
* Experience of coping with difficult situations and dealing with people in sensitive, distressing, traumatic, and potentially hostile & dangerous circumstances
Other

* Holds a Full C1 driving licence with no more than 3 points and no convictions for drink/drug driving
