Role: Legal Assistant Contract: Full-time; Fixed term (12 months) Location: Glasgow, City Centre Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Office based.
We are looking to recruit a hard-working individual to join our thriving admin team within the Private Client department. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful team and contribute to its success.
If you are someone who can work in a fast-paced environment and is keen to develop their administrative skills in a supportive environment, then this could be the role for you. As a Legal Assistant within our Private Client department, you will work as part of a team that provides administrative support to all the fee earners, including Solicitors. They handle cases for the instruction of all estate planning matters, the ongoing management of Wills, Powers of Attorney & Trusts and finally the administration of estates. Candidates should be pro‑active, have excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to handle a variety of different tasks. The role involves a variety of administrative responsibilities including handling of legal documents & correspondence, managing files, liaising with clients and supporting the fee earners progress their files. Due to the nature of the work you will be dealing with, this role is fully office based.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing administrative and legal support to fee earners within the Private Client team
* Preparing, amending and processing legal documents and correspondence
* Managing files, including opening, closing, and maintaining records
* Liaising with clients and third parties in a professional and courteous manner
* Handling telephone calls, emails, and general enquiries
* Assisting fee earners with Cashroom requests
* General administrative tasks as required
