Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Responsibilities
* Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks under the guidance of chefs.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning work surfaces.
* Support catering services by preparing ingredients and assisting with serving meals.
* Ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times.
* Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
* Participate in the setup and breakdown of kitchen equipment as needed.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including restaurant or catering experience.
* Familiarity with food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous.
* A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation and serving.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy setting.
