As a Driver Trainer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our drivers are safe, compliant, and operating at the highest standards. You'll deliver driver assessments, training, and coaching across our hub network—supporting both new and experienced drivers. From CPC training and inductions to compliance checks and performance coaching, you'll help keep our fleet moving while driving continuous improvement across the operation.
Responsibilities
* Deliver driver training, inductions, CPC modules, and assessments to maintain the highest safety and compliance standards
* Coach drivers using vehicle telemetry data to optimise driving styles and improve fuel efficiency
* Support transport operations to ensure sufficient driver resource during peak periods
* Conduct audits and maintain driver compliance records, ensuring legal requirements are met
* Investigate driving incidents and provide expert recommendations to improve safety and prevent recurrence
* Work collaboratively with operations, compliance, and fleet teams to drive continuous improvement across the network
Interested? Here is what you'll need to be successful
* Full Cat C+E (articulated) LGV driving licence and current Driver CPC
* Experience delivering driver training or conducting driving assessments
* Strong knowledge of drivers' hours, tachograph regulations, and working time directives
* Excellent communication and presentation skills for delivering engaging face-to-face training
* Minimum 5 years' experience in the logistics or transport industry
* High attention to detail with the ability to coach, influence, and drive performance improvement
