We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter for our client who are well-known engineering business in the Huddersfield area on a permanent basis, working Monday to Friday with a Salary up to 40K, excellent working conditions and ongoing training and progression opportunities.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter:
Primarily a workshop-based role working within a team of multi-skilled engineers undertaking the service and repair of electric motors, pumps, fans, and gearboxes.
Dismantling the above equipment, fault finding, diagnosis and repair
Assembly of gearboxes from stock to suit customers' requirements
Working directly from technical drawings & instruction whilst ensuring a high quality of workmanship
Occasional site for sitework as and when required
The Mechanical Fitter will:
Hold formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or similar)
Have previous experience working as a Mechanical Fitter within a heavy engineering environment
Have experience of working with Gearboxes and Rotating Equipment
What is offer to the Mechanical Fitter:
Salary upto £40K dependant on experience
Working days Monday to Friday
Overtime available at excellent rates
31 days holiday including bank holidays
Death in service benefit
