NEXT’s Buzz Photo Studio is searching for a talented, contract-based individual to support our in-house teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and proactive photographer to deliver visually stunning content that aligns perfectly with NEXT’s photographic vision and brand beliefs.
About the role
This freelance role primarily focuses on delivering Home Interior photography to the highest possible quality for the NEXT customer, ensuring all imagery strictly adheres to our established brand principles and creative direction. You will be instrumental in maintaining a consistent, high standard of photography that complements the Studio’s overall creative strategy.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with the Creative Lead, Senior Photographer, and the wider team of in-house Photographers. A key part of the role involves effective communication to establish clear, recognisable, and achievable goals, particularly concerning style guides, product management, and studio workflow.
The contract requires a professional who is focused, driven, and mature enough to take direction with empathy and efficiency. You must be able to remain calm, professional, and positive, demonstrating a proactive attitude and excellent communication skills to quickly grasp new information and contribute positively to the team environment.
Flexibility is essential, as the role may require working at other NEXT studios, external locations, or on-site shoots as required to meet the demands of the creative schedule.
£350 per day.
About you
* Expert knowledge of photography, retouching, and complex lighting techniques is essential.
* Extensive experience with Adobe Photoshop & Capture One, and high competence using MAC operating systems.
* Proven experience in e-commerce and editorial photography, preferably within a large creative studio environment.
* Thorough understanding of current trends and advanced lighting techniques.
* Superior planning, workload management, and organisational capabilities.
* Highly developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills; a strong communicator and listener.
* Creative flair, commercially minded, and aware of interior and lifestyle trends.
* Forward-thinking, innovative, and proactive approach to all projects.
* Comfortable and effective working within a high-pressured, rapidly changing studio environment.
* Must provide a strong professional portfolio or website showcasing relevant work.
* A full UK driving license is required.
