Overview
Reporting to the Camp Manager and working with a team of staff, Swim Teachers are responsible for planning and delivering safe, structured, active sessions to children aged 5–17 during school holidays. Sessions focus on developing water-confidence and basic stroke development through structured, active games and fun activities rather than a traditional learn-to-swim programme. Safety is the top priority, with close collaboration with Lifeguards to ensure preparation of areas and equipment, risk assessments, monitoring of water conditions, and incident management. All staff must adhere to Kings Camps' Swimming Policy, venue Operating Procedures, and Emergency Action Plan. Sessions typically run 30–45 minutes for up to 16 children, with pool times generally between 9.30am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
