Job Overview
Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated Band 8a Primary Care Network Lead Mental Health Practitioner (ARRS), or Band 7 seeking progression to Band 8a, to join our established Learning Disability Community Team in East Cheshire. We work across Macclesfield and Crewe, providing person-centered support to individuals with learning disabilities, co-morbid mental health issues, challenging behavior, or autism, using a multidisciplinary approach.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing specialist assessment, formulation, and intervention to facilitate positive change and improve quality of life.
2. Working across community settings, including clients' homes.
3. Supervising and supporting junior team members and clinical psychology trainees.
4. Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and research, including hosting the Centre for Autism, Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities (CANDDID).
Candidate Requirements
* Significant experience working with individuals with learning disabilities.
* Leadership qualities and the ability to ensure timely psychological interventions with service user satisfaction.
* Access to transport is essential for travel between community settings.
* Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Additional Information
This is a part-time role, 22.5 hours per week over three days. The trust offers a relocation package of up to £8,000, subject to terms and conditions. All staff are expected to complete or be working towards the Care Certificate within six months of employment. Applicants will need to pay for their DBS check, with costs deducted from salary, and are encouraged to enroll in the DBS Update Service.
