Job Description:
We are seeking a Software Engineer within the Corporate Chief Information Office (CIO) to join our team in Milton Keynes. This role involves developing and maintaining customer-facing applications, primarily using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular, and working closely with product owners and management teams.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing technical analysis and coding in Java (Spring Boot) and Angular.
2. Managing the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.
3. Participating in design discussions to ensure optimal solutions.
4. Supporting the development of software solutions following SDLC processes.
5. Liaising with stakeholders within the bank's international and transaction banking sectors.
Requirements:
1. Extensive experience in software engineering methodologies.
2. Proficiency in Java, JavaScript (Node.js, Angular), and experience with vendor-specific software like Finacle.
3. Knowledge of database systems and SQL.
4. Experience with version control systems like Git, and operating systems such as Azure, Windows Server, Linux.
5. Experience in planning development sprints and releases.
Preferred:
1. Degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience with certifications.
2. Experience supervising multiple development projects.
3. Knowledge of diagnostic tools and batch solutions setup.
