Expleo is seeking an experienced Lead Quality Engineer to join our prestigious automotive client in Gaydon. This role is critical in driving quality excellence across Vehicle Structures, from in-field issue resolution to driving design improvements and supporting model year updates. You will play a key role in supporting corporate quality targets, continuously improving customer satisfaction and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all quality improvement activities within Vehicle Structures
* Drive and maintain updates for DFMEAs and DRBFMs, ensuring alignment with latest corporate standards
* Own the Prevent Recurrence (AIMS) process and lead its effective implementation
* Manage Failure Mode Avoidance across all structure-related systems
* Track and resolve quality issues related to warranty, R/1000, A/1000, TGW, and field alerts (White/Grey)
* Collaborate with Lead Service Engineers to resolve Technical Assistance (TA) issues
* Oversee engineering-led IQM projects and deliver timely resolutions
* Drive knowledge-sharing through structured Lessons Learned sessions and risk assessments
* Support 3DEx Total Requirements Management (TRM) by releasing and managing engineering rules, design requirements, and documentation
Essential Skills & Experience
* Advanced knowledge in CAD/CAM/CAE systems
* Proven experience in digital modelling, DFMEA/DRBFM, and Failure Mode Avoidance
* Strong background in quality assurance, especially within automotive structures
* Experience with 3DEx TRM and structured requirements release
* Ability to coach and delegate within a technical team environment
* Proficient in simulation tools and digital prototype validation
* Strong leadership and communication skills with a proactive problem-solving mindset
Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent)
* 5+ years' experience in quality engineering roles within the automotive or engineering services sector
