Portfolio Assurance & Risk Business Partner
This role is part of a well-established team that provides assurance of the Projects & Programmes in the Portfolio and supports the Head of Risk Management & Business Resilience in embedding risk management processes and fostering a positive risk culture across the agency.
The position offers a varied and fast-paced environment, presenting opportunities to work with senior key personnel and support a wide range of activities across the agency. The successful candidate will confidently engage with senior leaders in DVSA, championing assurance principles and encouraging transparency and objectivity in risk management.
Responsibilities include:
1. Acting as a key contact and providing best practice advice for programmes, projects, and related business areas.
2. Advising Senior Responsible Owners (SROs), project teams, and providing quality assurance and control within project lifecycles.
3. Supporting the Head of Risk Management & Business Resilience to ensure an effective risk management framework is in place.
4. Advocating for risk management by addressing hotspots and providing high-level guidance for significant projects.
The role requires excellent communication skills across all levels, experience in project or risk environments, and the ability to influence and handle challenging conversations.
