Junior Business Analyst – European Payroll Project

HSBC are looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join their European Payroll and Time & Attendance (T&A) Transformation Project. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with operational HR or Payroll experience who is looking to step into the world of business analysis and project work.
You’ll support the T&A Transformation Business Analyst and the Payroll & T&A Transformation Project Manager, helping to drive process improvements and support implementation activities across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
* Support stakeholders in understanding and documenting business needs, workflows, and scenarios.
* Review and map existing processes, helping to identify opportunities to simplify, automate or improve.
* Assist with creating and maintaining documentation including process inventories and Solution Design Documents (SDDs).
* Support the development and delivery of training for new processes and systems.
* Help with change management activities and communications across a wide user base.
* Coordinate workaround actions and ensure correct governance procedures are followed.
* Support risk identification, tracking and mitigation actions.
* Contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, coordinating testing, and reporting progress.
Must‑Haves
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
* Some exposure to HR or Payroll (essential)
* Operational HR or Payroll experience - not just theoretical
* No need for prior BA experience - we will support your development
* Curiosity and the confidence to ask questions
* A desire to start out in the BA/project world
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to build relationships remotely across multiple countries
* A natural ability to teach or explain processes to others
* Comfortable dealing with colleagues across various European locations
