Job Description
We are seeking a Junior P6 Project Planner to join our team near Chester, United Kingdom.
As a Junior P6 Project Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our engineering projects in the water and energy sectors by developing, implementing, and monitoring project plans.
* Develop comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations
* Assess and communicate progress to the senior team.
* Analyse the project requirements and create detailed work breakdown structures
* Identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify all project requirements and agree timescales
* Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to produce tender stage programmes
* Conduct resource forecasting and optimisation to improve project efficiency
* Assist in the development of project budgets and cost estimates
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes
Qualifications
* Knowledge / Awareness of NEC form of contracts
* Experience in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
* Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment - Essential
* Experience in construction or infrastructure projects - desirable
* Knowledge of construction methodologies and techniques - desirable
* Understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation principles - desirable
* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations - desirable
