Pentagon Motor Group have an exciting new opportunity available for an experienced Motor Trade Sales professional to join our Pentagon Loughborough dealership in the role of Sales Manager, with a key focus on our brand-new Chery franchise.

This brand-new position has been created specifically to drive the success of Chery at our Loughborough site, making this a rare and career-defining opportunity for the right individual.

We are looking for someone with real energy, enthusiasm and self-drive – a Sales Manager who is excited by the opportunity to grow a new brand, build momentum and help establish Chery as a major force within the local market. You will work closely with our Loughborough General Manager, who is an exceptional coach and mentor, and you will be fully immersed in both Pentagon’s in-house training and Chery’s comprehensive manufacturer training programme.

With everything Chery has to offer – from outstanding new products to innovative technology and a strong future pipeline – this role represents a fantastic opportunity to grow alongside an exciting brand from the ground up.

In return, we offer full support, in-house Sales Management training, and full Chery manufacturer training, ensuring you are fully accredited and equipped to succeed with this exciting and rapidly expanding brand.

Previous Senior Sales experience within the automotive industry?

A proven track record in products & finance sales?

What will you be doing?

Pentagon Loughborough are looking for an experienced Motor Industry professional to lead and drive the Sales department for our exciting new Chery franchise, with a strong focus on performance, customer experience and brand growth.

You will play a vital role in establishing Chery within the local market, maximising sales opportunities across the range, identifying appropriate funding and insurance options for customers based on their individual needs, while achieving agreed profitability and volume targets.

As a Company, we place a strong focus on customer care and satisfaction. Your excellent interpersonal skills will ensure a strong customer-centric culture, and you will be confident, professional and supportive in your leadership approach.

Responsibilities will include;

1. Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing sales team.
2. Driving sales performance across vehicle, finance and insurance products.
3. Acting as a brand ambassador for Chery, helping to build awareness and excitement within the local market.
4. Naturally building rapport with customers quickly and ensuring they are treated fairly at all times .
5. Maintaining strong stock control and awareness of current market conditions Monitoring finance and insurance performance against budget, identifying and addressing shortfalls.
6. Assisting management in planning, forecasting trends, and revising plans for the dealership on an ongoing basis
7. Coaching and developing the skills of the team to achieve business objectives
8. Qualifying customer demands and needs to ensure the most appropriate products are recommended.
9. Logging all activity to monitor performance, measure outcomes and provide regular feedback to the General Manager.

The working hours for this role are 45 hours per week, as per the sales rota, including weekends on a rotational basis.

The successful candidate will:

10. Have a proven track record in Sales Management within the Motor Trade
11. Bring high levels of energy, enthusiasm and self-motivation

13. Be customer-focused, ambitious and commercially minded
14. Demonstrate the ability to organise, prioritise and manage workloads effectively
15. Show strong leadership qualities and lead by example at all times
16. Have a good understanding of market conditions, stock management and sales forecasting
17. Demonstrate compliance with operating processes, industry regulations and legislation Motivate and inspire the team, regardless of workload or sales volume
18. Have up-to-date knowledge of vehicle legislation, consumer legislation and trade practices
19. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
20. Demonstrate exceptional customer service standards
21. Hold a full, UK driving licence

The successful applicant must agree to a Basic Disclosure under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) procedures. Employment will be offered subject to a satisfactory Disclosure report.
