About Us
At MyelinZ, we’re reimagining brain health—on Earth and beyond. We combine AI, neuroscience, immersive games, and wearable neurotechnology to build the most advanced non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) on the planet.
We’re now looking for a sharp, curious, and experimental ML/AI Engineer to join us at the intersection of speech data, time-series signals, cognitive games, and foundation models. You’ll collaborate with neuroscientists and game developers to shape the AI core of BodyMirror, our “virtual gym for the brain,” and help unlock personalised cognitive insights from gameplay and biosignals.
About the Role
We’re on the hunt for a bold, curious, and technically brilliant machine learning engineer to build and deploy AI systems at the heart of our BCI platform. You’ll be working with rich, multimodal datasets—speech, neural, behavioural—and helping us decode the brain in real time.
What You’ll Do
* Build and optimise models for speech analysis and decoding
* Develop ML pipelines for time-series biosignal and gameplay data
* Advance foundation models for interactive feedback and in-game support
* Contribute to medical data processing, anomaly detection, and AI personalisation
* Work cross-functionally with product, design, and neuroscience to drive real-world outcomes
About You
* You’re smart, interesting, and interested
* You’re a grafter—this isn’t a 9–5 role. It’ll be a Misogi-level challenge—but a fun one
* 3–7 years of experience applying ML to speech, neural, or time-series data
* Strong background in software development, ML frameworks, and signal processing
* Hands-on experience with foundation models
* Passion for building tools that enhance human health, cognition, and agency
The Cherry on Top
* Experience with games, psychometrics, reinforcement learning, or wearables
* Familiarity with real-time ML or edge deployment
* Background in digital health, neuroscience, or behavioural research
* Experience with adaptive game design or player-aware AI systems
Team Culture
We are intense—because the mission demands it. We move quickly, think deeply, and prioritise execution. We value ideas over titles, and momentum over polish. Our culture is one of collaboration across engineering, neuroscience, AI, and design—with no room for ego, and full room for ambition.
A Note from Us
This isn’t a high-status role with flashy titles, soft landings, or curated work-life balance. If you're after something with“strategy”,“special projects”, or“big picture thinking” in the title—and prefer“circling back” to rolling up your sleeves—this probably isn’t for you.
At MyelinZ, we believe the future belongs to those who build it. The ones who graft, stay close to the work, and care deeply about doing things that matter. If that sounds like your kind of challenge—we’d love to hear from you.
