Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer (Mechanical Bias)
Location: Keighley (Site-Based)
Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 + Car/Allowance + Benefits
Type: Permanent
The Opportunity
We’re working on behalf of a leading UK engineering and construction specialist to recruit a mechanically biased Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer for a major site-based project in Keighley.
This is a key role on a high-value mechanical building services package, offering real ownership of delivery and the opportunity to play a pivotal part in a long-term scheme—with further phases likely to follow.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing and delivering mechanical works within your area, ensuring they are completed safely, to specification, on time and within budget.
You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and commercial teams, taking ownership of engineering delivery on site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading mechanical installation activities across your package
- Reviewing scope and ensuring alignment with client requirements
- Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring performance on site
- Monitoring progress and providing accurate reporting
- Supporting commercial and financial control of works
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and the end client
- Driving a safety-first culture across all activities
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in mechanical building services projects (essential)
- Background working for an M&E contractor or main contractor
- Experience delivering mechanical packages on construction projects
- Strong understanding of HVAC, pipework, and mechanical installations
- Ability to manage subcontractors and site activities
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, site-based environment
Qualifications:
- Relevant mechanical or building services qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or trade background)
