This role involves working within a team of fraud specialists and legal support staff. You will manage a caseload of Litigated RTA suspected fraud files for various insurance clients, working closely with claims handlers and Lead Lawyers to achieve optimal results. The role requires following defined processes, a forensic and analytical approach to evidence, and high commercial awareness. Decision-making within set timeframes and in the best interests of the client is essential.
You will work strategically to shape the future of the counter-fraud arena. The caseload includes suspected fraudulent insurance claims such as:
* Bogus Passenger
* Staged/Contrived
* Induced accidents
* Low Speed Impact
* Late Notification Claims
* MIB
* Linked & Organised Crime
Key Responsibilities
The NDA File Handler will run fraud cases from litigation to resolution. Responsibilities include:
* Reviewing and analyzing evidence throughout the case
* Setting and agreeing on case strategy with clients and Lead Lawyers
* Adhering to process stages and identifying litigation opportunities
* Handling files per client guidelines and ensuring client satisfaction
* Completing all MI accurately and timely
* Achieving KPIs for clients and internal teams
Technical Excellence
* Reporting to insurers and liaising with involved parties
* Carrying out investigations to meet strategic goals
* Meeting procedural and investigative deadlines
* Achieving the best litigation results while complying with court timetables
* Undertaking advocacy when appropriate
* Managing tasks and case systems efficiently
* Ensuring compliance with SRA standards and regulations
* Working efficiently to be commercially aware and ensure timely billing
Working Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with 1 unpaid lunch hour. Primary location is Bolton, Parklands Office, with at least 1 day/week in the office.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Experience in civil litigation claims handling or relevant qualifications (ILEX, LPC)
* Experience with RTA pre-litigated/litigated cases, insurance litigation, CPR knowledge, and client care skills
* High analytical skills, communication skills, and ability to prioritize under pressure
* Experience with billing systems and understanding of incentive plans
