Job Title: Deputy Manager – Residential Children’s Home Location: Hartlepool Salary: £30,888 – £41,184 per annum Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Full-time, rota-based, including evenings, weekends, unsociable hours and shifts as required Employment Type: Permanent Sleep-ins: As required, £73 per sleep Service: Children’s Home Service Users: Children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or working towards this qualification Experience Required: Minimum 2 years’ experience within residential childcare, including supervisory experience The Home: This is an existing 5-bed children’s home supporting young people with EBD. The service operates with high staffing ratios and a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes for children and young people through high-quality care and structured support. Number of beds: 5 Who we are looking for: We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager who is confident supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of a residential children’s home. You will be involved in operational leadership, staff supervision, casework oversight, care planning, reviews and case conferences, while stepping into leadership responsibilities in the Registered Manager’s absence. The ideal candidate will have strong residential childcare experience, excellent judgement, resilience and the confidence to make key decisions in a fast-paced environment. You will be child-centred in your approach, highly organised and comfortable balancing leadership, administration and direct care responsibilities. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, held for a minimum of 12 months.
