We are currently seeking a Public Health Nursing Business Support Team Leader to join our Business Support Team based in Exeter (County Hall).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager to lead a busy team of business support staff, located in Exeter. The Business Support Team Leader will have line management responsibility for up to ten administrative staff.
Main Duties of the Job
About the Role
Public Health Nursing comprises Health Visitors, School Nurses, Staff Nurses, Specialist Safeguarding Nurses, and Community Health Workers providing support to children and families in Devon and promoting child health and development. It plays an essential role in protecting and safeguarding vulnerable children and families. Key responsibilities of the Business Support Team Leader include:
* Providing day-to-day line management of Public Health Nursing business support staff, including regular one-to-one meetings, work allocation, absence management, recruitment, induction, training, performance management, managing leave requests, and workload distribution.
* Undertaking risk assessments to ensure staff health, safety, and wellbeing.
* Leading process reviews by collaborating with colleagues and managers, suggesting improvements, and planning and implementing changes.
* Ensuring the accuracy of data on organizational systems and databases, and proactively finding solutions and improvements to the service using technology.
* Staying up-to-date with evolving legislation, Codes of Practice, standards, and government agendas related to information management.

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience working in a customer-focused environment.

Qualifications
* GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Good working knowledge of Public Health Nursing.
* ILM Level 3 or equivalent experience.
