Teaching Assistant – Cognition & Learning Support

Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bispham, starting as soon as possible. This role will involve providing targeted support to pupils with cognition and learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and make sustained progress.
The Role:
* Working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils requiring additional learning support
* Delivering tailored interventions to develop literacy, numeracy, memory, and problem‑solving skills
* Supporting the class teacher with planning, delivery, and assessment of learning
* Creating an inclusive, positive learning environment
* Promoting independence and engagement in all learning activities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have recent school-based experience supporting pupils with cognition and learning needs
* Hold a relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) – essential
* Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach
* Be confident implementing learning strategies and adapting work to individual needs
* Be available to start immediately

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
