Deputy Nurse Manager
An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nurse Deputy Home Manager to work in an exceptional care home based in Southport, Lancashire. This role will support the Home Manager and lead the senior caring team.
Required qualifications
Qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC Pin.
Key responsibilities
* Support the Home Manager to ensure smooth operation and compliance with regulatory standards (CQC/RQIA).
* Lead, guide and inspire the senior care team to provide outstanding, person‑centred support.
* Build strong relationships with residents, families, colleagues and external professionals.
* Hold regular staff meetings and maintain open, positive communication.
* Assist new staff with inductions, ongoing training and encouragement.
* Oversee risk assessments and safety checks to keep the home safe and compliant.
* Play a key role in quality checks and audits, continuously seeking improvement.
* Collaborate with regional managers to develop and introduce new ideas and services.
* Ensure staff feel valued, supported and motivated to deliver their best work.
Preferred skills and experience
* Strong clinical skills.
* Natural leadership qualities: approachable, supportive and able to bring out the best in others.
* Passion for high‑quality care.
* Organised, proactive and confident in managing practical aspects of care (risk assessments, audits, compliance).
* Knowledge of ABI is beneficial.
