A rare opportunity to join our infant feeding team as a breastfeeding support assistant, providing support for breastfeeding to mothers in their own homes, in hospital and in the local community. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team! The post holder will deliver high quality care in accordance with guidance given and work delegated by their management team.

What we'll need you to bring
1. SVQ III in Healthcare or working towards or equivalent experience working in the role.
2. Breastfeeding training or willingness to undertake.
3. Experience of working with volunteers or experience of volunteering.
4. Experience of working with breastfeeding women.
5. Experience of working alone with support at a distance.
6. Ability to work with people and as part of a team.
7. Ability to work unsupervised.
8. Ability to prioritise own workload.
9. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
10. Commitment to ongoing personal development.
11. Driving licence and access to a car.
12. Ability to work flexible hours.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
13. Previous experience of visiting people in their own homes/providing care of individuals in the community
14. Experience of supporting infant feeding
15. Experience in a care environment
16. Experience in NHS electronic systems
17. Proficient IT skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages
18. Effective written and verbal communication skills
19. Computer literate
20. Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Infant Feeding Team within University Hospital Wishaw.
The working pattern for this role is mainly days with regular weekends and occasional evenings.
