Teaching Assistant
Location: Cardiff
Pay: £92.63 per day
Start Date: ASAP (subject to vetting)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting both full-time and part-time Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across central Cardiff and surrounding areas. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment for pupils. We offer flexible opportunities to suit your availability—whether you're looking for 1–2 days per week or a full-time position.
Roles are available for immediate start following the vetting process, as well as for the upcoming academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils who require additional help, either one-to-one or in small groups
Assisting the teacher with classroom management and lesson delivery
Preparing learning resources and materials
Helping to maintain a clean, safe, and organised classroom environment

Requirements:
Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
Ability to provide professional references
Who We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is beneficial but not essential. Successful candidates have come from areas such as:
Sports coaching or science
SEN/ALN personal experience
Music and drama
Creative arts
Psychology or sociology
Care work
Youth organisations (e.g. Scouts, Brownies)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
