Do you take pride in high standards, safe workshop practice, and supporting others to develop real industry skills? This is a varied and practical role where you’ll support workshop delivery, maintain tools and diagnostic equipment, step into classes when required, and help learners develop industry-ready skills in a safe, professional automotive environment. What you’ll do: • Deliver theory and practical motor vehicle sessions when required • Support lecturers during workshop activities with demonstrations and technical guidance • Prepare workshop bays, vehicles, tools and diagnostic equipment for lessons • Maintain and operate automotive workshop equipment safely and effectively • Carry out routine inspections, servicing and minor repairs on tools and training vehicles • Manage stock, consumables, PPE and workshop resources • Complete risk assessments, COSHH documentation and safety checks • Ensure high standards of health, safety and compliance at all times • Work closely with curriculum teams to support high-quality programme delivery What we’re looking for: • Strong technical knowledge of motor vehicle systems (engines, braking, suspension, diagnostics, electrics, transmissions) • Hands-on experience in an automotive workshop environment • Excellent organisational and time management skills • A proactive, safety-focused approach • Good communication skills and confidence supporting learners • Flexibility to support teaching delivery, including short-notice cover This is a fantastic opportunity to use your automotive expertise to directly support the next generation of technicians while working in a professional and supportive education environment.
