Overview
An established renewable energy operator is looking for an Engineering / Technical Manager to lead technical strategy, engineering governance, and asset performance across its wind turbine portfolio. Based in Perth, this role offers hybrid working flexibility.
Role Summary
You will act as the technical authority across all operational sites, supporting field teams, driving engineering improvements, and ensuring turbines operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a senior role with both strategic and hands-on technical input.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership across wind turbine operations and maintenance
* Lead fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and engineering investigations
* Monitor turbine performance using SCADA and condition monitoring systems
* Develop and implement strategies to improve reliability and reduce downtime
* Ensure compliance with OEM standards, safety legislation, and ISO frameworks
* Support major repairs, upgrades, and engineering projects
* Mentor and develop engineering and technician teams
* Act as the technical interface with clients and stakeholders
* Deliver technical reporting and performance insights
Requirements
* Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Renewable Engineering
* Strong experience in wind turbine O&M or power generation
* Deep technical knowledge across turbine systems
* Experience using data and diagnostics tools
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
