We are working with an award-winning delivery and training provider of physical activity programmes for children and young people, whose mission is to get 1 million children active by 2025!
This role offers a chance to change children’s lives and contribute to the company’s vision of ending physical inactivity forever. If successful, you will be employed to deliver education programmes across primary schools in the West Midlands during school term-time and sports and physical activity sessions to children and young people during school holiday periods.
The organisation is looking for an experienced SEND Sports Coach who is passionate about making physical activity inclusive and life-changing for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You will be expected to be a continuous learner with a desire to improve yourself and those around you, bring outstanding communication skills to build, maintain, and develop strong relationships with all stakeholders, and be highly organised in all aspects of your work.
The role also requires travel and potential last-minute schedule changes depending on the needs of the business.
What You’ll Do:
* Design and lead inclusive PE lessons for children with a range of SEND needs
* Support schools with embedding inclusive practices in PE
* Work closely with SENCOs, TAs, and teachers to meet each child’s needs
* Keep accurate records and help track individual progress
* Be a positive role model and ambassador for Aspire
Who You Are:
* Confident, caring, and passionate about SEND inclusion
* At least 12 months’ experience delivering PE to children with SEND
* Great at adapting your teaching style for a range of needs (e.g., SEMH, neurodiversity, physical disabilities)
* A strong communicator who builds trust with children, staff, and families
* Organised, reflective, and ready to travel across the West Midlands
